Vote postponed on West Vincent apartment complex

A vote that had been set for last night on a proposal to build a 216-unit apartment complex on farm land in West Vincent Township was postponed because of a solicitor's scheduling conflict, West Vincent Supervisor M. Clare Quinn said.

The apartment plan, called Cornerstone Rise, has won preliminary support from the West Vincent board of supervisors, but a group of township residents opposes it. Those residents object to the rezoning of the land and have raised traffic and environmental concerns. The apartment complex is a proposal of Villanova developer David Della Porta.

Quinn said the supervisors' vote on the proposal was rescheduled for 7:30 p.m. April 26 at the township building.
